Ep. 33 — Keep the Law as the Apple of Your Eye — Proverbs 7:2 (KJV)

Proverbs 7:2 (KJV)
“Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.”
This proverb exhorts the seeker to keep God’s commandments not just in memory, but at the center of one’s attention — as the apple of the eye, the most sensitive and protected part of the body. The law is to be treated with this same care and constant focus. To live by the commandments is to preserve life, clarity, and direction.
The law is not about legalism or rigidity; it is about kindness. For the law of kindness is what crowns the virtuous woman in Proverbs 31 — “in her tongue is the law of kindness.” This becomes the standard for all: that the law of God, once internalized, transforms not only conduct but also the heart — from judgment to compassion, from wrath to mercy.
Kindness must be extended not only to those who treat us well, but especially to those who do not — to the ungrateful, the hostile, the betrayer, the manipulator, the persecutor. This is what Jesus taught when He said, “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you.” That is the law of kindness.
Proverbs 7 also warns against the seduction of the harlot. She flatters, entices, and ultimately leads to death. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. But this harlot is not merely a woman — it is a spirit, a pattern, a culture of seduction, idolatry, vanity, and selfish pleasure.
In modern times, we see this spirit in both men and women. Feminized men and masculinized women — disconnected from God-ordained identity — seduce with words and image, often seeking praise, validation, or dominance. The harlot spirit flatters with lies and drags souls into deception. But the one who keeps God’s law will discern and flee.
How the ZeGoDie Relate to This Proverb
Today’s ZeGoDie reading aligns with this deep call to guard the law and the path of life. The present AlphaGram (Now) is 25 — Innocence (Heaven over Thunder). It speaks of aligning with the purity and natural flow of divine order — the kind of obedience that stems from sincerity, not performance.
From 25, we see a path unfold through BranchingGrams:
- 37 — The Family: Order, honor, and the right structure of life.
- 30 — Clarity / Radiance: The inner fire of truth that must be tended.
- 14 — Possession in Great Measure: True abundance, but only for those who can carry it in righteousness.
- 1 — The Creative: God’s original will unfolding without hindrance.
This flow illustrates how inner innocence — right alignment — leads to true clarity, proper relationships, stewardship of abundance, and participation in divine creativity.
The OmegaGram (Future) is 13 — Fellowship (Heaven over Fire). It shows where the path is heading: into true connection with others who walk uprightly, who share in purpose and truth.
Branching from 13:
- 10 — Treading: Careful steps on dangerous ground.
- 9 — Taming Power of the Small: Gentle restraint and inner control.
- 14 — Possession in Great Measure (again): This confirms the reward of spiritual inheritance.
- 1 — The Creative (again): Alignment with divine will re-emerges as the crown of this path.
Together, this suggests that if we live by the law — truly, from the heart — the reward is not only life but fellowship, abundance, and divine co-creation.
What the ZeGoDie Are
The ZeGoDie — the Rainbow I Ching Oracle Dice — are a seven-die spiritual discernment system inspired by the ancient I Ching. Each die represents one of the seven dimensions of being:
- 🔴 Red — Body
- 🟠 Orange — Emotion
- 🟡 Yellow — Mind
- 🟢 Green — Intuition
- 🔵 Blue — Voice
- 🟣 Indigo — Intention
- ⚪️ Violet — Spirit
When cast, they reveal:
- AlphaGram — what is active now
- OmegaGram — what is unfolding next (future or past)
- Branching & Growth Grams — how the energy is developing
ZeGoDie do not predict; they reveal energetic alignment, motion, resistance, and potential — a spiritual map, not a horoscope.
Blending Proverbs, ZeGoDie, and Christ
“Keep my commandments, and live…” is the foundation of today’s guidance. And the ZeGoDie reading shows us how: by remaining innocent, by honoring divine order in the family, by refining our clarity, and by walking carefully into a fellowship that reflects God’s light.
Jesus said:
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”
—John 14:15 (KJV)
And:
“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”
—Matthew 5:8 (KJV)
To “keep the law as the apple of your eye” is to preserve this purity — to watch your steps, your words, your company, and your spirit.
This is not about law for law’s sake. It is about union with God — through obedience, love, and discernment.
