Ep. 35 — Rebuke the Wise, Not the Scorner — Proverbs 9:8 (KJV) AND Matthew 7

Watch Bible Study
Proverbs 9:8 (KJV)
“Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.”
This verse teaches a deep principle of discernment in correction. A scorner — one who mocks wisdom and truth — resents correction and turns hatred toward the one who attempts it. But a wise person values truth over comfort and receives rebuke like nourishment because it brings clarity and alignment.
Flattery is vain and deceitful; it soothes the ego without refining the heart. Correction from the wise is a gift that sharpens discernment and brings growth. This aligns with broader Scripture that warns against false prophets and seductive voices that flatter but lead astray.
How the ZeGoDie Relate to This Proverb
Today’s ZeGoDie readings reflect both current refinement and future movement into discerned joy and transformation. The first cast shows the process of correction and refinement that shapes character, and the second shows where that alignment leads — into a joyful, transformative fellowship with others rooted in truth.
What the ZeGoDie Are
The ZeGoDie — Rainbow I Ching Oracle Dice are a seven-die spiritual discernment system based on the I Ching, revealing movement across seven dimensions:
- 🔴 Red — Body
- 🟠 Orange — Emotion
- 🟡 Yellow — Mind
- 🟢 Green — Intuition
- 🔵 Blue — Voice
- 🟣 Indigo — Intention
- ⚪️ Violet — Spirit
A cast reveals:
- AlphaGram — what is active now
- OmegaGram — what is forming next
- Branching & GrowthGrams — how energies unfold
ZeGoDie discern alignment, readiness, and spiritual motion — not prediction.
ZeGoDie Reading #1 — Now & Past
AlphaGram (Now): 46 — Pushing Upward
The present energy is pushing upward — determined movement grounded in persistence. This reflects the day’s mission to work diligently and move forward in correction, clarity, and purpose.
Branching from 46 → 39 — Obstruction
Even as you push upward, there are obstructions — tests of clarity that refine discernment rather than stop progress.
OmegaGram (Past): 18 — Work on What Has Been Spoiled
Yesterday’s energy was correction and refinement — addressing what has been spoiled by distraction or misplaced focus.
Branching from 18 →
- 11 — Peace: Harmony following correction
- 63 — After Completion: A sense of near‑fulfillment with remaining refinement
Flow:
Work on Spoiled → Peace → After Completion
This shows that past work of refinement shapes present movement.
ZeGoDie Reading #2 — Today & Future
AlphaGram (Now): 54 — The Marrying Maiden
Today’s energy is about invitation toward union and alignment with purpose. This does not refer to a physical marriage alone, but to spiritual alignment and integration of intention. The Marrying Maiden stands at a threshold and invites discernment over impulse.
Branching from 54 →
- 17 — Following: Listening, learning before acting
- 55 — Abundance: Fruit of right alignment
Flow:
Invitation → Discerned Following → Abundance
This shows that obedience precedes provision.
OmegaGram (Future): 58 — The Joyous
The near future shows joy and clarity of spirit, not superficial happiness, but deep satisfaction born of truth and right action.
Branching from 58 → 49 — Revolution
Joy will be followed by transformation — not disruption alone, but spiritual reformation that invites alignment and deeper character.
Flow:
Joy → Transformative Renewal
Blending the Proverb, ZeGoDie, and Scripture
Proverbs 9:8 highlights discernment in correction — not every soul receives rebuke. A scorner rejects it; a wise one cherishes it. This echoes Jesus’ teaching on false prophets:
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
— Matthew 7:15 (KJV)
Flattery and empty praise appeal to ego. True rebuke pierces superficiality and purifies the soul.
Jesus said:
“Every plant which my heavenly Father hath not planted shall be rooted up.”
— Matthew 15:13 (KJV)
This is the work of discernment — to know what is planted by God and what is not.
The ZeGoDie show that as one pushes upward (Alpha 46) and refines what was spoiled (Omega 18), true invitation and alignment (Alpha 54) lead to genuine joyous transformation (Omega 58). This is the path of wisdom’s discipline, not the path of flattery or ease.
