Ep. 41 — Soften Speech, Increase Wisdom — Proverbs 15 & Matthew 13

Proverbs 15 (KJV) calls attention to the power of words and wisdom:
“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” (v. 1)
“The simple believeth every word: but the prudent looketh well to his going.” (v. 21)
“The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility.” (v. 33)
“A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!” (v. 7)
These verses teach that how we speak matters — especially in the practice of righteousness. Soft, measured speech brings peace; harsh, impulsive words stir conflict. Prudence arises when we look well to our ways — observing not only what we say, but why we say it, and to whom.
